My name is Tanner Koch born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I’ve been a writer/director/editor of black comedy skits and short films since I was a child.

I fell in love with the art of cinema in high school and championed the first film program they ever had, sweeping all the state championships. After exiting High School I bounced around to live life for a bit, eventually finding my way to film school in Scottsdale.
I honed my craft in film school making many friends and learned a plethora of skills. Outside of my own projects I worked for years on various film, music video, and commercial productions as a Key Grip. In tandem while attending school for all those years, I was an Assistant Manager of a movie theatre which gave me plenty of experience on the distribution and cinematic experience behind the scenes.
Later on I eventually went back to college, getting a new degree in Mass Communications and Media Studies from ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications. I graduated right at the start of the pandemic.
From 2018-2020 I hosted the Intellectual Tea Party podcast, a show reviewing new movies and providing breaking news from the world of film. In April 2022 I launched Reely Refreshing, a podcast dedicated to exploring the concept of cinematic nostalgia goggles.
